Selma Dallas EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION
COMMEMORATION 2020
The Selma-Dallas Emancipation Proclamation Committee announces
the 157th Commemoration Celebration for the signing of the
Emancipation Proclamation by President Abraham Lincoln.
The theme for the 2020 Commemoration is: “The African American and The Vote”
The Commemoration Celebration will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2020
at 11:00 AM
at the New Morning Star Baptist Church, 500 Co. Rd. 29, Marion Jct. AL 36759, where Rev. Rufus Tolbert, Jr. is Pastor.
The Speaker is Hon. Jimmy Nunn, Probate Judge, Dallas County, AL.

SELMA REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
The SELMA REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (the Authority) will hold its regular meeting of
the Board of Directors of the Authority on the THIRD THURSDAY of each month at 4:00 PM
EyeMax Vision Center, 2401 Medical Center Parkway, Selma, AL, 36701, for the purpose of
transacting such business or taking such action as may come before the Board of Directors
of the Authority.

The Selma (AL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will host its 27th Annual Links Unity Breakfast on Monday, January 20, 2020, 8:00 a.m., at the Carl C. Morgan Convention Center, 211 Washington Street, Selma, Alabama, 36701.

Ages 3-15 yrs old. Registration fee is $40 which includes shirts, pants, socks and hat. You must have your child’s birth certificate AND insurance card at the time of registration or your child cannot be registered. Any child registered after Jan 31st will be charged at $15 late fee.
