Christmas Tree Winter Walk

The Christmas Tree Winter Walk grand opening will take place on Saturday, December 5th out on Broad Street near Carters Drug and Queen City Market. We will have Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, Food Trucks, and who knows, maybe Santa will make an appearance. Join us for some holiday cheer and cast your vote for your favorite tree! The decorated trees will be displayed along Broad Street's shopping district and remain throughout the holiday season

     The SELMA REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (the Authority) will hold its regular meeting of

      the Board of Directors of the Authority on the THIRD THURSDAY of each month at 4:00 PM

      for the purpose of transacting such business or taking such action as may come before the

     Board of Directors of the Authority. The meetings will resume face-to-face with masks required and social distancing in effect. The meeting will be at 4:00 PM in the Community Room at Trustmark Bank; enter from the Broad St. door.

Scott Communications has teamed up with Park Place Rehabilitation, Wal Mart and Selma Police PALs Program for the 5th annual Toy Drive. Thursday December 17th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM the Scott Com crew will be in the Wal Mart parling lot in front of the store collecting toys for kids in our area that may otherwise not have a present on Christmas morning. Scott Com. Park Place. Wal Mart and the PALs folks want to fill the WALX trailer full of toys so bring a toy, run into Wal Mart and get a toy or just make a monetary donation and the staff will go buy a toy and put it in the trailer for you!
