Alzheimer's Outreach Contest

Alzheimer's Outreach is holding a contest for Regions Bank employees that give out the most Collegiate Minting key chains, accepting a minimum of a $15.00 donation for each, will be deemed the winner. The donations will fund transmitter bracelets for the Project Lifesaver Program, an organization dedicated to searching for demented individuals and is in the process of being available in every Alabama County. Old Cahawba Civil Walking Tour

Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Old Cahawba Archaeological Park, 9518 Cahaba Road, Orrville, AL 36767 Fee is $8.00 per person. This walking tour will visit Castle Morgan, the POW camp at Old Cahawba and explore the plight of these unfortunate soldiers as well as the hardships of the town's confederate residents who suffered while their husbands, fathers and sons were off to war, many never to return.
