This year, we’re giving all the great anglers in the Black Belt plenty of time to have a shot at winning a great prize in our Best Black Belt Fish Photo Contest. The deadline is not until Sept. 11, but you’ll want to enter as soon as you can to give your friends and family time to vote for you.

The winner will receive a half-day guided fishing trip at Lake Eufaula led by expert fisherman Tony Adams and a night at beautiful Lakepoint State Park. The prize package is worth $430.

The contest  is open to any type fish taken in Alabama’s Black Belt. The Dallas County Farmers’ Market will officially be opened for its 2019 season beginning on Saturday, June 1, 2019. The market will be opened on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Saturday’s beginning June 1 – November 15, 2019, from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. or until the last vendor sells out.
