9^th Annual Get Fit Selma! 2021 Switches to an Outdoor Testing & Vaccination Event with a COVID Conscious Defeat Diabetes 5K Run/Walk & Community Fun Run/Walk

The 9^th Annual Get Fit Selma!  Health & Fitness Festival is switching from its traditional in-person, indoor health fair with health screenings, tabling by local and state organizations and special guests from throughout the South - to a Testing and Vaccination Event.

The Testing & Vaccination event will open with a COVID Conscious Defeat Diabetes 5K Run/Walk & Community Fun Run/Walk at 7:00 am. The Start Time for the racing and walking events is 8:00 am. There are reduced rates for any groups of FIVE or TEN people. Information is available at .

Testing & Vaccinations start at 9:00 am to Noon at McRae-Gaines Learning Center, 1101 Woodrow Avenue, Selma AL. The testing and vaccinations will be performed in drive-through or walk-up options.  People in need of testing or vaccination should bring their Medicaid, Medicare or insurance cards in case they are needed.

Medical professionals from Rural Health Medical Program, Vaughan Regional Medical Center, Main Street Family Urgent Care and Rho Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, are joining McRae-Gaines Learning Center and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, Selma Alumnae Chapter (SAC) to carry out the event.
